| ya thats the one lol. i've been sending messages to him.. he said the compression is good out of it and he's gonna try cleaning the carb out and running fresh gas because he may have got water in the system.

| yea i have a polaris 350L 2stroke. not sure if the 400 is based off it or anything, but it self-distructs all the time. iv had this wheeler for like 3 years i think and the motor has blown like 4 times. good points are its got good power and torque tho.

| dont know if its based off it or not... but j/c what was causing your 350l to blow up? was the port lay out to aggressive that it ate rings up or did it dentonate or what?

| well the first time it had a reason, i had just bought it and after it blew we found that the carb boot was cracked and it wore the rings so that they were soo thin that they busted. and the other times we dont know why it blew, what it was always do is bust one of the skirts off the piston. and the only motor work done to it was it had been bored .20 over.

| hmm...wonder if that was just a clearance issue... oh well..i'll tear this down when i get it and inspect everything and measure all my clearances.

| yea i dunnoo. it just annoyed the crap out of me, specially since its got the same problem as the POLARIS indy 500 i got. i think its a polaris thing since its a problem with both of them.

| i dont know if its the oporater.....cuz it doesnt matter how fast im going or anything. on that indy one time it blew as soon as we started it up. the last time it blew i was running bout 80-85 down a road. with the wheeler it happened when i had gone in reverse then put it in forward and hit the throttle and it blew.......i think its just polaris.
