Nothing hits like a 2 stroke and the only four stroke quad I own is a 2005 fully-automatic Polaris Trail Boss for my wife. She just cant figure out the whole clutch and gears thing. That shitty polaris already has a fucking recall on it because some ignition thing might catch on fire if the engine gets too hot. As a matter of fact, there was like 10 polaris models recalled for the same damn thing.

I would never considder buying a new 4-stroke.
I just cant even imagine spending that much money
for some thing like that. I can buy a 2-stroke which
would be way faster, for half the price of those
new 4-strokes.

I wouldn't mind having an electric start machine around... That way whatever girl I am dating would have something to ride at the dunes... all of my 2-strokes bikes are beasts to start...

sorry guys.....im building one right now........ iv owned 3 dirtbikes and 4 quads in my life, all have been two strokes, and most have been yamaha, or sezuki. i am loyal to the yamaha brand, and to two strokes.....but i grew up riding at the "creek", near my house in robbins/woodland ca.... since i was little, my family would take 1 to 3 trips each year to the sand dunes to ride.... growing up a always wanted a dunner...a polished banshee that would scream... so when i got the money(2005), i bought one... but the nicer my banhsee gets, the harder it is for me to take it to the gravel pits and creek bottum, for long days on the trail. .... in the summer, its rough and dusty, in the winter its a swamp..... i am currently retiring the banshee to a pampered life of sunny days at the dunes, and the fourstroke will be my everyday rider.... i will never sale my banshee.... the next new bike i buy will be a fourstroke though, and a new one at that..... iv got my eye on the 450's. there technology is ever growing, along with there power....and though i dont like the eliminatioon of the two strokes, i have come to except it.... i will ride this four stroke for 3 or 4 years, and when i become more comfortable with the fourstrokes, i will be purchasing a new 450....
.

.
i do have this to add though! i will never buy a fourstroke dirtbike....if i ever buy another dirtbike, it will definately be a two stroke!

i actually might, 2 strokes are a lot of hassel, all the rebuilds, mixing gas, and how expensive oil is. i might consider one because all i have near me are trails and my YZ125 is a pain in the trails. four strokes to me would be easier to maintain.

Well I acctually own one allready. An 04 yfz450. But I agree with Chris... there are soooooo many banshee's out there that you would really never need to buy one. Unless that is you want to go over to the dark side! lol

Im close to woodland and I have ridden the levi area a few times off highway 113 and I believe rd 102. Last time I tried to ride there they had it gated off though.
