| I would say buy a nice one and add stuff to it. Building it from scratch is cool and all but do you want to ride or work on quads. I have put alot of dirtbikes and a couple quads together. I did must of them because I had to. I would find a good deal where some one took the bike apart and lost interest in it so i would take the parts for free and put them together..wala i have a running bike for free. Or i would by it for cheap and fix it up and sell it..ect. I ve been putting parts and parts on my lt250r for the last 3 years. I dont even ride it any more because i allways have it apart . I would like to ride every day but i keep taking my bike apart because i want some other performance parts. My next bike i get will be a cr250 or a banhsee. I'll tell you one thing there is no way im going to start from a frame or a stock banhsee/cr250. Im going to find a bike that has everything allready on it...or as close to what i want as possible then add the stuff i want to it. Why spend the time and all the money when you can get a worked bike for close to the same price and you dont have to put hours into putting it together and waiting on parts in the mail. Its nice to have a project bike but your mian ride should be a bike thats is what you want and fully rideable.
