i bought a 94 rm250 for 500 that the guy i bought it from told me it smoked so he tore it down. i didnt say anything any different and snatched it up. had about 650 in it all together and traded it for my 86 lt250r that im restoring. not too shabby

watch ebay. I got a '00 Banshee with tons of mods for $1600 that was supposed to have a rod knock. When I tore into it all that was wrong with it was that the 3 screws that hold the stator to the mounting plate fell out. I put them back in and she fired right up. You can always find ignorant people that sell shit cheap that barely needs work at all! Don't be afraid to work on them yourself, theres enough info in the repair manuals and from the experts on here that with a little mechanical aptitude you can do it yourself and save a ton of money. Almost every toy I have bought needed rebuilt or some kind of work, you learn as you go!
