I'm looking for a lightweight tire that gives me enough traction to pull wheelies with my +4 swinger and still slide around turns and throw roost in the faces of 4 strokers- basically I want it all!
The candidates in no particular order:

Kenda Dominators.
Works excellent for both racing and sport riding
Features a split knob design to provide outstanding traction and braking.
Excellent straight line stability
4-ply rated

Carlisle Turf Tamers.
Features 4-ply construction and excellent quality synonymous with the high quality of the U.S. built Carlisle line
Rated as the best tire for traction on hard surfaces

AMS Zippers.
Lightweight two-ply casing reduces unsprung weight and increases flotation in sand and snow conditions.
Casing expands at high rates of speed for added traction and stability.
Shock-absorbing casing provides a smoother ride.
Natural rubber compound runs cooler in the desert and stays flexible in snow; increased puncture resistance in both climates.
Design allows reversal of tire rotation for increased traction in a variety of conditions.

Kenda Scorpians.
Provides versatility for a mix of terrains and applications.
Ideal choice for riders seeking knobby performance at a low price.
Light weight easy rolling tread design

Maxxis Razrs.
Lightweight design delivers optimum performance on all terrain types
Standard construction features 4-ply rating
EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE....

go with fast trekkrs they are the best tires i ever owned and they are cheaper than holeshots i bought my blaster with a new set of holeshot rear tires and let me tell you they suck i had them on for 2 months and needed new ones then i bought fast trekkrs cause i used to run them on my banshee and i still have them on and they are 70% tread after 5 months of riding i had a pair on my banshee that lasted 2 years

i would look into kenda klaws, thats what i have right now and i love them, i used to have turfer tamers, and have rode blasters with razrs, holeshots, and dirt devils and the klaws are by far the best, they have a reverse tread desgin for soft or hard surfaces. they hook extremly good espically in loose stuff.

how concerned are you about puncture resistance?i love the ohtsu radial for outstanding traction anywhere.they are found stock on the 400ex.little prone to getting tore up through real rough terrain though.
