I could care less what direction the kick goes. makes absolutely no difference. I just kick a bit harder the standard way.

Definately Forward...easier to turn over with lots of compression. However, i usually wear my riding boots, so if i slip off, the kicker hits the plastic part of the boots and not my shins.

I would definately have to say forward kick, for 2 reasons, I own a 250R and am used to it, and I am running high compression and fell like I can get a stronger kick with it. Honestly though I am used to both with having an equal amount of dirtbikes and quads. One VERY aqward bike to start was my ATK 406 high compression 400cc stroke, and it kicked on the left side, because it had a rotax motor. The two toughest motors to start that I have owned were the Rotax 400cc 2 stroke motor and the KX 500 I owned.

Standard kick that's all I have ever had. Never really tried the forward kick.
