| I would like to know how to port and polish my own engines. I currently own a Polaris 250, and am prepared to have it shipped off to be ported. How will I know if the job is done right if I don't know anything about it? One guy I talked to said my timing would be advanced. I'm not a stupid person, but I am completely ignorant about how porting works. If anybody reads this thread and feels like sharing some knowledge, I would appreciate it. I'm just a knucklehead that insists on doing everything myself, or at least leaning over the shoulder of the guy doing the work. Thanks |

| I would try to find a book called the two stroke tuners handbook by alexander graham bell. it has everything you will ever need to know on two strokes. |
