full race engine mods when my suzuki 86 lt250r is at BDC, the edge of the piston is 2mm higher than the bottom of all the ports. the piston dosent hit the head at TDC, and i can run 93octane with no problem. im going to shave the piston flat, shave 2mm more off of the piston to even it up with the ports, and shave 2mm of the head or cylinder (or 1mm off of each). plus head modification to regain the compression loss from going to a flat top from a dome top. this combo will give me way more duration and port area. anyone see any problems with this or anything i left out? |
