ok i have a 89 rm250 and a 90 kx80 my 2nd cyl for my 250 is unported and so is my 80 well i have a very extinsive back ground in mechanics,machining, and fabricating and i would like to learn how to port my own cyl's now i have idea of how its done but i dont kno what to look for to make sure it dosent affect tha piston or rings but i would like to hear from yall's experience

1990 KX80 - being rebuilt and modded
1989 RM 250 - bored .020" over and ported with a FMF fatty and silencer
1996 XR l00R - also being rebuilt putting a 120cc big bore hot cam full BBR exhaust and all new plastics along with paint job


BEEN THERE-WRECKED THAT-AND FIXED IT

do your reserch... get on motor building forums...
i seen dvd's on ebay on how to port..

start by reading two-stroke performance tuning by A Graham Bell
there are several other books on 2 stroke theory like Gordon Jennings I think i have a link to that one to read on-line but Bell's book is more up to date IMO they both will give you tons of info
