| Clean your carb out and block off your oil pump. I just recentyl removed my oil pump and wish I would have done it a long time ago! I had one of the oil lines break about 3 years ago and caused me to have to rebuild the top end. I just got the thing running a couple of months ago. I removed the oil pump and used a new gasket to trace a piece of steel and cut a cover for the hole it leaves. You also have to plug the hole in the carb where the oil is supposed to be injected.

| checked the plug and it is oily and loads of carbon build up. removing the oil pump was an option but would rather leave it on until i have tried other things. any idea what size jets are supposed to be in, then what size should i try??? thanks guys |

| Stock Main Jet is #230. I am running a #260. If the plug is that oily and the carb is full of oil, change the plug and clean the carb out really good. Blasters run good on NGK B8ES spark plugs.

| Actually I don't know shit about blasters, but have heard even a Yamaha Tech say that it's best to buy the oil pump blockoff kit and switch to premixed gas. Sounds to me like you need a bigger jet and maybe lower the clip a notch on the needle towards the pointed end and probably change the main jet. |

| wait wait i thought if the plug was wet (oily) your jetting needs bumped down.

Yep it's alright depending on the oil... 25ml/1liter is 40:1 Personally, I'm running 50:1 with amsoil dominator in my R |
