Default Basic jetting question

posted this in the quadracer forum, but its not really quad specific so i thought i would post it here too

ok
so if i understand this correctly

If i go (according to the manual) above 5000 feet i will run richer, and should go down a size or 2.
But if I remove the air filter box, it will make my bike run leaner.

Soo, If I remove my airfilter box cover when I go above 5000 feet, would that be enough to compensate?

Just a theory im working on the understand this

I believe that is over compensating a bit I would almost bet you would be way way lean. But I guess that all depends on the quad I've seen quads whos airboxs were removed go up 5 to 15 on the mains. You could just pull the choke out to richen it back up or if it is possible just remove the airbox snorkel.

i wouldn't recomend removing the airbox unless you put a filter over the intake...
