another reason 2 stroke's are better

So i got out for a ride today, like i usually do. And when i go to load up my yfz 450 i see it's leaking coolant. WTF I have done more work to this 4 joke in 3 months, then the 3 years that i've owned my banshee. The gasket from the clutch cover to the case is blown out. and then awhile ago it blew out the oil plug on the top of the head. All i ned now is the topend to go boom. Cant wait for that. POS. So to all you jerks that think that the new 4 poke is the king of all quads YOUR WRONG. Its a fact that the new 4 pokes require more maintence then 2 strokes, like topends, oil changes, valve adjustments, so on and so forth. If i didn't have a personal attachment to this shit box 4 stroke, i'd sell the maintence hog.

Yeah its due to the fact that they got those engines so stressed out to make that hp....

it was my uncles, and it was the only quad that i went riding with him that he had at the time when i got me shee. He passed last year, so it kinda means something to me.

well they allready sound like a box of rocks from the factory, so them blowing up doesn't suprise my in the slightest. I know a couple people that work up at the yamaha dealership, and i'm told all the time about the engines letting loose on these quads it's rediculous. It's also a honda dealership, and the hondas have the same problem. Rods and bearings seem to be the parts that take the most abuse.

i too have been tryin to convince everyone the 450 isnt they new hype, rather just a high maintenance ticking time bomb. after checking in at the various local dealers i buy parts from...450= head gaskets, thrown rods, and cracked cases...leading to empty wallets and 2000 dollar repair bills. ON A MCHINE THAT ISNT PAID OFF.
theres a kid on project blaster that has a 450r, had it i believe..6 months, fried the tod end to shit, now it needs over 2000 dollars to run again. needless to say..i dont think it ever will.
