Pink Slip

Was intersted in a bike but seller doesnt have the pink slip...i live in California how musch of a problem is this?

My friend is going through that right now. Only his has no pink slip and his bike is from Canada. I was with him at the DMV. The lady told us that he needed to get the vin of the bike verified by the California CHP. Why them I have know idea. You will also need a bill of sale and then fill out a missing title form. It will be a bit of a pain but you can make it happen. Let me know how things go.

I'm in Cali too & didn't need my pink slip to register it. The owner & I filled out a Bill of Sale form & DMV has that form.
FYI, if you put it down as a gift vs the amount you bought if for then you won't have any tax to pay.
