coil is a ground?

well i recently got a 92 warrior and it ran great until i washed it . now it wont start and cant figure out why.for some reason the coil is reacting as a ground to the test light. anyone have a idea why?would the cdi box do this??

You killed your poker!!! It sounds like you got water in a connection somewhere. I would remove the plastic's, seat and tank and blow all the connections dry and squirt some dielectric juice in all the connections. The coil is ground to the frame by the two bolts that mount it. Remove it and sand the metal clean again.

ok so if the cdi suppost to be a ground?because there both reacting as grounds idk not sure about anything anymore

you sure there isnt a wire coming of the cdi that grounds to the coil?

no theres a wire that comes from the ignition coil to the frame. than theres an orange wire that goes the the coil from the cdi thats acting as a ground but dont think its suppost to

when you hook a test light to it it reacts as if it were a ground. put one end to the positvie and it shows the grounds and for some reason its showing up as one when i dont think its suppost to

that doesn't mean it is a ground. if the light comes on it mean there is a complete circuit.

isnt that when you hook it to the negative on the battery. i swore that the positive showed you where ground wires are it doesnt do it to anyother wires unless there black and connected to the frame

If you hook it up to the positive side, it will find anything that will ground out the curciut.
