do you live near Flint MI

anyone live in or near Flint MI that is interested in getting a group of people to ride with. i live in burton and none of my friends ride. i usually end up riding by myself. not really as fun as riding with a group of people. i ride a banshee but am willing to ride with anybody with anything. quad, dirt bike, jeeps, whatever. i also would love to coordinate a trip to silver lake.

You didnt happen to be at Silver Lake the weekend of Jul 18 did you? I was screwing around with a banshee rider there who was alone.. Just curious.

nope. not me. i wish it was though. i hope i will be going in a coupe of weeks. that is if i can get my buddies to get their asses in gear and plan the trip. where at in MI are you from?

Imlay city / Almont area to be exact

I have yet to go to Silver Lake this year, have yet to even ride the quad this year.(No Spark)
Jet ski's have been out every weekend though

i ride at the mounds. its not much but its the only legal place around here to ride. im going tomorrow after work if you want to go pm me. im down. riding alone sucks. im thinking about silverlake aug 22-24. i still cant get anyone to confirm and i sure dont want to go out there alone.

I heard mixed reviews about the mounds. Is it a pretty decent place to ride? I would probably have to get a new ORV Sticker to ride out there too wouldn't I? What time are you planning on going out there?

yea lots of mixed reviews. its not silver lake but it is close and legal. i like it for what it is; a place to ride. there is all terrains out there but not really much where you can go balls to the wall. i am probably going around 5. you have to get an orv sticker but they are only 16 bucks. let me know. o yea its like 8 bucks or something to get in. they are open till sunset so i usually ride until 8:30

I live near flint and if you go to the Mounds you need to tell them you are a resident and be prepared to tell them a city,town, ect in Genesee county if not a day pass will cost you more.

The mounds to me is more a of mud bog pit now. Lots of 4x4s and ruts. Last time I was there it was taken care of quite nice at the beginning of the season. The real area, where the "Mounds" hills are, is closed now because of all the accidents.

Don't know about any other good riding spots except organized tracks and raceways:

My friend has a quad and no one to ride with but me. He wants to go all the time, but has no ride. I just do not have the money anymore.
