Well i hate to say this but the anshee is not the quad to be rasing mx with... its fast but the geomotry of the suspenshion and amount of travel you get isnt vey good for mx. I had a 96 banshee set up for mx that i sold to 370 banshee ... +2+1 frount with elka shocks rad carrier with a dura blue + 4 axel ... really fast motor .. about a 370 cc. anyway it was tricked ... it handles like shit. the power is unusable on the track ... you need low end. i now have a 265R. its a dream when it comes to mx. But if your gonna dump your money into a banshee for racing go with this. the only true long travel that works corectly with the banshee is the lobo front with 20 in shocks this requires you to move the upper shock mount as well. elka axis or pep. also go with a no link rear setup with a long travel rear end. rad carrier and a dominator rear axel. stearing stems can help. dont run a stock motor. the 4 stroke will take you in every courner. ther lowend will tear you up. at least run pipes, boost bodle,bigger carbs, cool head new radatior, pro x pistons, k&n filter... try to get a high flow set up. tires are a must i run razor mx on all fronts with turf tamer on the rear. .. i also ran a trinity 2 into 1 carb set up ... gives alittle more bottom end and alot more mid. well i have done alot with my shee when i had it 370 can tell you more about the quad i had it was fast. but i moved on and i can give you all the tips on tuning and setting it up for mx ... i did one.

If you want to be good at mx, or any other type of racing...you MUST practice. I have seen stock frame 250rs with stick suspension and turf tamers (not even grooved) that have smoked other 250rs and shee's, and yfz's, and them (cough cough) 400ex's. Its all about being comfortable on your ride, not how much $$ you have in it. Suspensio, tires, etc...add to the comfort of your ride which in turn, make you faster.

i have a big discount with a vendor who deals with houser and bergard a-arm ... also with elka. i can get a set of front arms +3 +1 for about 500 from bergaurd. crome is more but i can call and get the prices
