Default mud race at county fair

we went to the mud race at the county fair and they had atvs and trucks running. I placed 3rd on the R, a guy on a raptor got 2nd, and one of my brothers got 1st on his banshee. there was only like 6 people in the class, other ones was a 300ex, a utility, and a trail blazer. the track was like only 100ft I think with timeing lights set up an stuff. but the mud was pretty gay. it was real smoothed out and it was probably only a couple inches deep in some parts and hard packed clay shit underneath. and im not tryin to bitch about gettin 3rd or anything, or worse, getting beat by the rapture. but I had my R setup completly wrong. I was expecting it to be some really thick deep mud but it was opposite. I had like 20psi in the rear tires cause I was wantin them things to spin and float accross the deep shit. but I should have ran alot lower pressure and I would have hooked up alot better and not spun so much. the guy on the raptor was launchin hard and ridin wheelies and stuff and he was hookin awesome.

damn dude that sucks, but at least you have an excuse for getting beat by a crapter, if your setup was better you wouldve probably beat your brother

Motor- T-5s, k&n's, v force reeds, hot rods 350 crank, billet impellar, wiseco 20 over pistons, barnett clutch, pro com cdi, +4 timing plate, milled head

Next rebuild setup-
motor- going 350 methanol w/drag porting, weld/trued crank, lectron carbs, milled rechambered head for drag, pwr radiator, CPI in frame drag pipes
tranny- override/lockout/pro lock clutch, lightened flywheel
chassis- lots of polishing/chrome parts/powdercoating, lightened frame


Past 2 strokes- 00 desert racing banshee, suzuki 1997 trail rm80

yea i know if I had my tire pressure set down low I would have hooked up big time. but the only problem is one of my tires doesnt hold air good enless it has like 20psi cause the rim is phucked. the raptor had the stock rear tires with good tred and that thing was hookin and bookin lol.

im not so sure if I would have beat my brother, he out runs me in a 300ft drag most the time. he had some ol razars on his shee and he hooked up pretty good. and he told me later how he was goin so fast. he was startin in 3rd gear lol. I was just startin in 2nd. but I dont think mine would have launched good in 3rd with them big ass gncc holeshots. with my gearing I got I dont think it would have had enough guts to pull it
