Default atv rodeo!

well me and my brothers went to the annual atv rodeo setup and sponsered by ballance racing at our county fair. we had a freakin awesome time and got a little bit of video footage, but its very poor cause the camera would not focus in for shit.

for the list of 2 strokes there were:
2-250r's (mine and another guys)
4-banshees (my two brothers and another guy with a badass duncan racing banshee, chrome front end with elkas, pt mids, and i'd say he had some good engine work, and a completely stock banshee)
1-modified kid quad with a cr or yz 85 motor, (this kid was bad ass on the jumps and barrels)
1-blaster, completely stock

they had 3 events, the pole race where you run zigzag in between a line of polls and back, the barrel race where you ride around 3 barrels and back to the finish line (pretty much exactly the same as in a real rodeo that the women ride the barrel races on the horses, you do a 360 around each barrel). and the last event they called it the open race, kinda like a small mx track. it had some small doubles and a little whoops section and some tight turning sections. it was really kick ass, wish I would have tried a little harder on the jumps. my brothers hauled ass though on em and got some good air.

the traction there was PERFECT! it had been bone dry here for a while and that weekend we got like a 1 1/2 inch rain and it soaked in and made perfect dirt. I placed 3rd overall in the pole race and won 14$, the guy on the duncan banshee barely beat me by like 10 thousands of a second, and I think some 450 got first. my brothers didnt do so good, one of em even caught a pole with his right a-arm and flipped him over lol. and his has a -2 swingarm and he was havin so much trouble keepin the front down with perfect traction lol it was awesome lookin. in the barrel race im not sure who won it, but it was either some guy on a badass white yfz450 or the duncan racing banshee. man that shee was freakin bad. that elka suspension made that thing run perfect around the barrels. and in the open race with the jumps, the duncan banshee got first place with a best time of like 58 seconds.

yea man it was so much fun. Im not real big into jumping and stuff and was trying to take it easy on some of the bigger jumps that you could get some damn good air on. I was doin all the little doubles real easy but slowin down on some of the big singles with flat landing. some guys were hit those things WFO. and man the guy on the all stock blaster was hittin every jump fuckin pinned to the stops. lol he had all kinds of fuckin weird landings but that guy was sure givvin his all. I wish now that I would have hit some of the jumps alittle faster to get a better time. but its pretty cool that the guy on the badass duncan banshee won most of the events. man you can tell where it pays off to put some $$$ into suspension. that guy made some of the stuff look like butter the way his banshee handled

aw shit you have no idea lol. man it is so much fun. just wish they let ya have to or 3 tries at each event, instead of just 1 because they sorta have a time limit. theres quite a bit of people that showed up. man I cant wait for next years.

We have rodeos every 4th saturday of the month at marion county fairgrounds. That's why my shee came w/ the flattrack package and 18" klaws and a 13/43 gears.
only 3 other people have EVER brought a shee to a rodeo, so we are in our own class (go fig).
We don't have mx, though we do have a 500 ft x 200 ft area to "test ride" there are some fun drags to be had over there, just no timing lights.
I just love lining up with about 6 450's and dragging. They all leave me at the line, but once i get in 3rd and 4th its over! and you all should see the looks I get when I unload a shee w/ drag pipes at a rodeo.

My friend was over the other day, and we were talkin over the shees and he asked me:
Why would you ever need a quad that can go 120 miles an hour, or a car that'll do 180?
I told him "If the answer ins't obvious, an explanation sure as hell won't help ya.
