sredish your right in that aspect.. but i think that is the only advantage to 4 pokes is the low end torque, if your on a track that requires that, like most. i race sand so its a whole different world out there. u know if u ride sand.

I do, with the Banshee. Never had the thumper out, but your on the money with the sand riding. The Banshee has the most perfect powerband for sand riding and dragging.

i think with the right compression ,gearing and port work a banshee can have really good grunt for a small displacement parralel twin. a good mx port can completely take away that hesitation and violent abrupt wheel spin.i suppose you could also make the banshee a capable mud machine or plow snow as well, but theres obviously better machines for that purpose

I wouldnt want to take a banshee or any 2wd quad in the mud around here. My friend got his 250r stuck in a mudpit yesterday thats only a bit bigger than a quad we had to get the kubota tractor to get the thing out its amazing how deep something like that can be.

Agreed,

I have seen personally on many of occations stock yfz450's and honda 450R's beat stock banshees on the 300' asphalt runs... the honda 450r and yfz rev pretty quickly.

And yes a stock ds650 will smoke a stock banshee, even a slightly piped one easily.

But even so i still hate 4-stroke
