Well, It's been 12 years since i've ran an event and i'm headed back this weekend.
I gave up racing back then when one of my friends/ competitors broke his back on a tabletop. We raced side by side every weekend. I had a fully built Tecate4 and he had a wicked Banshee. The one weekend I missed he went down hard and hasn't walked since. I sold my bike a month later.

I doubt i'll ever do MX again, but I've gotten back into riding in just the last 8 months. My nephew picked up a Warrior and I just couldn't resist. I feel like I never left. Soo...Here we are, getting ready to run a team harescramble.

I have mixed emotions over it but, you know the saying about getting back on the horse.

Climb back on the horse and ride....I had a friend that got killed abut 8 years ago racing TT so I ride for him every race......

Man thats gotta be tough. I mean, I've seen people get hurt, and have come pretty close myself before, but thats in a totally different ballgame that seeing one of your buddies get killed or paralyzed. I guess maybe you have to ask yourself what they would want you to do. I bet most of they time they wouldn't want you to quit doing something you love. So you took your time off to come to terms with the situation. If it felt like you never left, it musta felt that way for a reason. Get back out there and tear it up!
