Probably a dumb question but why wouldn't all tracks let trikes run?

You would be surprised about how anal places are getting about letting trikes in the park or on a A Track.

The AMA WILL not let them in at all,ever............
Therefore I do nothing to support the AMA or promote them.

Outlaw Tracks will let us run MX races.

All of these peopla and thier Insurance companies are under the impression, that trikes have been ouwtlawed or banned.

The fact is the ban was soley for production and sale of trikes to the manufacture.
Not the private owner or rider.
The other Fact is the ban was lifted in 1997.
So by rights the manufactures could produce trikes again, now. But I am positive that the CSPCA would intervine and impose a new Ban If they saw them being made again.

The last fact/opinion I have to say is, these (people)banned the trike for being unsafe.

Totally UNTRUE.I take my trikes up hills that quads will NOT go.They have sat at the bottom and watched me hit something really knarly and just shook thier heads in shock.
Trikes do excell in places a quad does not,and Vice versa.Sometimes I would rather be on a quad in certain spots.
So the ban was stupid,in the sence it banned the machine.
But in reality, they needed to ban poor riders. Not the machine.

Ok LOL.Sorry for the rant, but there are places I would love to go ride at but they wont let my trikes in.
I have quads and can go anytime.
But I dont care to support them if they wont support us.

ON a final note, they are already getting bad about letting 2 strokes in certian areas.

How long will it be before they ban 2 strokes just like they did trikes???????
We need to stay on top of the latest news to make sure we can keep em alive.

Now on the mx track it takes SKILLS not to tip your trike or get bucked offwhen your rear tire corner digs into the berm when powersliding through a turn

Holy shit...good stuff.
So..how far is this track from Detroit area? Is it dirt only, sand...etc?

Steve...still waiting for you and Jon to come out to Bob's or Albright shores...2 hours each way...

I'll probably make a trip to Little Sahara and Little Sandy in Kentucky next year, but if the track is within a 3 or 4 hour drive, I can dig that for a day ride...

Does this track allow chisels/picked tires, etc?? I've NEVER ran a dirt strip, so...just wondering. Sand is paddles...pretty straight forward...

To add to another members post...trust me on this one. Once you get into low 4 seconds, every TENTH costs money...
Guys that have MUCH bigger motors than me and drag frames, etc. only run a few tenths faster than my bike. My bike is only a few tenths faster than a drag ported banshee setup good for the track...

Between this year and last year, I probably easily have 350 to 400 passes down 300 foot tracks, it's a total blast...but damn, I wish I would've stayed at a holiday inn last night...
