I was just wondering what a good time would be in the 300ft on dirt, there is a zilla on ebay and the guy is claiming 4.6 seconds does that sound right ? is it fast..slow?

She runs like a raped ape, I am able to beat piped shees with her, not bad for a little old 250.
sure thats not to bad for a single 500 ,it really depends on the track though , you will here guys that run very low 4's on an other wise seemingly mild engine setup and then theres the opposite like at the track i frequent where the 10mill meth guzzeling cheetahs get only mid 4's ,regardless its not a bad time ,zillas dont generaly faire well against most full tilt drag quads .the sod moisture and clay content will make a difference and the light setup ,if its anything like most builders pro bikes the times are jockeyed by 1o5 pound pituatary disordered mini-men to hit those times
yea ive ran low 5's on my LT250R at a 300ft track in WV. It ran a best time of 5.27, It should run really high 4's or really low 5's when I'm done with my new motor. I normaly run a 500ft track and I run in the 7's pretty consistend but hoping to get high 6's. 4.6 seems like a good respectable time for a zilla but I've seen faster. There is one at our track in a 250 frame and it went 500ft in 6 seconds flat.

My 310 Tri-z runs 5.3 in 300 feet on a slow loose track with a plus 4inch swinger and stock 450R rear tires..
I would guess on a quicker track it hits right around 5 to 5.1 seconds.
I am adding pro wedges, outframe pipe, and plus 8 aluminum swinger and going to a true 330 cc drag ported jug.
On that same track I am looking to hit 4.5 seconds with that set-up.
Kinda like car drag racing, once you get to the low 5 second mark, plan on spending a 1000 bucks for every 1/2 second you want to shave off your time.lol

Yeah my 300r runs pretty consistent 5.4's and 5.3's here and there depending on my launch, the fastest run in my collection of time slips was a 5.326 in the 300ft. next season I'll be running a flotek ported jug, forged piston, 39mm Pwk, plus 2 durablue swinger and some headwork so I'm hoping to break into the 4's Also I'm building an 83R thats gonna have a 350 odyssey cylinder with full drag port, 40+ mm carb, plus4 swinger, 4mm stroker crank, a drag pipe and possibly a wheelie bar It will run in the outlaw class and I'm hoping to get lower 4's out of it.

looks like i better get out to the garage and start wrenching if i wanna be competitive in OH next year.but yeah a 4.6 is nothing really spectacular for a 500cc 2 stroke.not slow at all though.
yea I guess we'll have to both get to the garage and start working on the quads. I plan on going to ohio some next year also, so maybe that big bore cylinder I was thinking of doing may have to be thrown on for Ohio.lol
