Default Harescramble update...

Hey guys, for those of you that read my last post, I made it thru my first harescramble in 12 years.

We rolled in today with the trikes on the trailor and everyone looked at us in fascination. We had 2 Tri-Z's and 2 ATC 250R's. Aside from one Quadracer and one Blaster, we were the only 2 strokes there!

We had several people roll over and talk to us and snap pictures of the trikes. It was kind of crazy. SOoo... we survived it. They ran the trikes in a 3 wheeler class with just us 2 teams, but we also ran with all the quads in an overall (everyone is on the track at the same time, they just score each class seperate). I had some difficulty when my partner was on my trike and rolled the tire off the rim. That cost us 2 laps. (fortunately he had an air tank to reseat it out on the track).

We finished 1st in the 3wheeler class, beating out Team Honda by about 1/3rd of a lap. We finished 6th place overall against all the quads out there. There were 3 Pro teams there finishing with 28 laps, 2 other quad teams finished with 27 laps, both trike teams finished with 26 laps, and other 12 quad teams finished with 25 or less.

I have to say, I passed alot of 4 strokes today. One portion of the course was ran on the flat track (about 3/4 of the way around it). It was the biggest thrill passing the 450r's and YFZ's pinned in 5th gear, hanging it sideways! They just stared at us in disbelief as we screamed right by them.

It was a very good time and I may try it again sometime, I just keep thinking (How would we have done if the tire wouldn't have come off the rim?????)

Sound like it really did feel like you never left! Congratulations! I guess everyones funny looks on the way in got straightened out real quick eh? Runnin a harescramble on a trike has gotta be a real experience thats not for a beginning triker. Both of those Tri-Z's and the ATC R you have the pics of look like they're in pretty good shape. Soulds like those 4-stroke guys need to re-think what they spent all those dollars on. Once again, the 2 stoke comes out on top.
