I have had the one I want ported together for 3 years now, it gets a steady diet of 110 & Maxima castor 927. I just checked the crank bearings this fall & they are still tight. The only problem I am having is a little clutch slippage when the paddles are on.

I had a friend who had a real good running 87 and never had any problems with, seriously. It still had the stock pipe on it with a different silencer and reeds. I beleive they actually had a guy at their local suzuki dealer port it way back when. It always ran really good for what was done. Then he sold it to a kid who tore it down and when he put it back together forgot about one of the dowels and what do you know it cracked the jug. So he sent it to trinity after I told him not to and that cylinder never came back. They "lost it" so they say. Anyway he got a new jug out of the deal and I ported it for him but, the exhaust is really tall on them to begin with and then on a 87 it is oval which is good, but on that big of a jug you cant make it very wide and it has no wing ports. It runs good but I would like to have known the specs or even had a good look at the "lost one".

Anyway dudes right, to make one really run you are asking for a lot of maintanence and most likely some failures. Get a 250 port it, pipe it, alky it up and forget about the zilla

My god to you own every quad, I got a suggestion sell a few and make one extremely bad ass one.

Yes they can run, very good, but they take a whole lot of maintenance and in most cases just are not generally worth it unless you are just a die hard zilla guy

sell????? why would i do something like that.. haha adn for the record do have a few badd ass ones...... mine aren't show winners but they run damn nice... the zilla, tri-z will be killer fast when they are "running" the zilla needs water pump parts and teh tri-Z has fuel delivery problems(very very bad with alky) so........ i got a little tinkering to do when i get off these 6 days weeks. oh yeah and the "banshee project" is gonna be a very efficent sand shovel also!!!!
