mine are like those(jugs) ,but the pic is from passion racing cylinders .
shearers are made for strictly drag racing and dont have much torque off the bottom
sure they rev very high but theyre power isnt much different from rockets on any dyno ive ever seen ,if anything its lower and belive me ,theres plenty of dynos on the subject on HQ. i run shearer for my 04 blaster so im well versed on both pipes.
im really thinking about this ignition after talkin with chris the other day.

I have a customer with rockets on his bike but I have never ridden it. He also still has the stock unmodified head on it though. We will have to compare with the buddies bike when we drop some new pipes on it.

PVL is a internal rotor ignition that replaces the flywheel and everything, it is more for drag racing while the dyna is a better ignition if you ride everywhere.

Passion cuts his boosts rather high in the transfer tunnel making it nearly impossible to cut them without welding them. He can cut good but his tig welding isnt the prettiest. I prefer to cut the lower and blend them into the floor slightly, if you make the boost more narrow and taller similiar to a cheeta cub you can get away without tig welding, if you are careful.

im pretty sure thats the way his (passion) x series porting is ,he claims to have 6 typical styles depending on power characteristic goals.he ports banshees exclusively and thats all he does 6 days a week all year long. his 4 mills make nearly 80rwhp and dune ported 350's make 70 rwhp.

His 4mills are supposed to make 80 hp I have rode one. It wasnt making 80hp that I will garantee you. Im not saying it didnt run good but 80 hp no way. There are a few people that love his motors but most are not that impressed, and 80hp even if it did I have seen a 4mil done by a local builder here that made 85.5 on the dyno, on gas.

you realize im gonna have to kill you now nick right? seriously theres alot of good engine builders out there and you cant please everyone thats for sure ,a guys mod selection and his carburation and jetting will greatly influence how the package turns out also ,giving a retard a big high caliber gun doesnt make him a good hunter .so theres much to consider ,ill agree with you there are alot of really good tuners/designers and builders out there. trinity ftz duncan lrd and a host of other big names arent giving people the kind of motors like passion, patriot, ohton,southern ,moore ,packard and other topnotch race shops are making thats for sure i havent seen to many hit 80 rwhp on race gas with a 4mill only using ported stock cylinders ,but it happens when everything is dialed in and all the pieces fit the puzzle. of coarse dynos dont really mean dick and vary numbers by a huge margin
