| well i raced the gnc when they came here, and I raced a banshee, and there was 1 other, few R's here and there. but i have to disagree with you saying that the competition is too "advanced", its just that when 95% of the riders go to a 4 stroke, theres a good chance a lot of the good riders went over too. put a winner on a 4 stroke, he'll win, put a winner on a 2 stroke, and he'll win. with mx its mostly talent, and very little has to do with your ride.

| i'm not selling the R if thats what your saying so long for. I will always ride the R. As for the riders choosing the 4-strokes vs. 2-strokes, they have to. If they were to ride the 250r's they'd have too much trouble finding parts at a resonable price. Hell, just 1 gramet for my seat was nine bucks at the cheapest dealer around. The fact is, the supporf of the 2-strokes is no long there, therefore the riders are FORCED to change. Here's a prime example: In the 265 A class, you use to see all 265R's and few 4 stokes. This time at the nationals, the anounce was calling it the 450 A class with the exception of 1 265 R. Times have changed and the racers are forced to change. Parts will become harder and harder to find. I don't doubt that a good rider is a good rider on any atv, but they are forced to change models due to availabilty of parts and cost. I'm not giving up on two-strokes, in fact, i am continuing to modify the R to suit me better. I'm just saying don't expect to see very many two-strokes in MX racing until i am finished with college.

| They have rules for the Production class for racing too, can't be out of production for somethin like 3 years, so that counts the R's out by a LONG shot. The pro's will ride what their sponsors want them to ride, and nothing else. As for the open classes, which is where I have to race. We get some damn nice rides in there, but its hard for me to compete, cause damn near anything goes in that class.

| thats crazy, but as long as there is an open class, 2-strokes will reign.

| I was there and saw two or three 250R's and one banshee. I don't think it's so much that the R's aren't competetive anymore, it's just easier to buy one that's almost race ready off the floor. One of the R's was more than holding his own. |

| Theres no more two-strokes at the pro national level (Motocross) There isn't one two-stroke.. 125, or 250 class. Its a shame.. I know DV and MC started on a two-stroke this year in supercross. It was DV's decision to stay on a two-stroke because he had more experiance on the two stroke. After a few races he switched to a four-stroke. All the supercross tracks are designed for four strokes. They never shift one time besides the start. Listien, they DO NOT shift on a regular supercross track.. I plan on going up to Red Bud this year for the nationals.. Anybody know what the fastest lap of the week was? |

| I think that's pretty shitty, going to a 4 stroke just to say you got what everyone else has. 2 strokes are what sets everyone apart. I love my Banshee. There is no substitute for the power they have and the way they sound. Ride what you like, not what everyone else likes. |

I agree that nothing sounds like a two-stroke shifting through the gears... Four strokes sound like somebody farting in a loudspeaker. |
