250r's a pretty good MX machines... so are LT250r's.

Chad (lt250rmx) races his banshee in MX though... says it goes just fine. It really is MOSTLY rider as long as the machine has balls enough to keep up... which the banshee obviously does.

TRX250R would be best, I used mine for mx and it was OK in stock form, but not the best. For a great mx Banshee I suggest these, a good kill/tether switch +2+1 a-arms, good shocks, -1 or -2 swing arm, 2 into 1 carb setup, 2 into 1 pipe, good reed valve's, MX porting, Re-cut shaved stock head or cool head, dyna fs ignition, and GOOD tires!

But that's what I would do if I were to do it all over again.

this is to create more torque and less hesataion down low in the rpm power range
this is the preferred style of power delivery to stay linear and fluid on a race track, cutting your stock head .035 will also give you better bottom -mid torque .youll be fine without these mods but youl lhave to stay on the pipe alot and you may tire- out sooner IMO
