Did this already If your stock on your shee, the trx450 stock will eat you alive on the 300ft... Sorry to say but yes the 450R is very very light and revs very fast as well. We did multiple 300' runs with the 450r vs stock banshee on asphalt and the 450R won every time, no matter which rider had it.. Of coz he needs to know how to ride it properly or he will loose.

On dirt i fear you will fare even worse as banshee's are notorious for not getting good grip in the dirt, even with some of the best tires.

Guess you will let us know the outcome... But be careful, honda did a great job on the 450R engine, has tons of torque and revs VERY fast and is very light.

well, all i ride is sand soooooo i know what i have seen (on sand). stock 450s (trx or yfz) on the dunes suck balls in drag racing. i was at the florence oregon dunes over thanksgiving weekend and was at comp hill for a while. a 450r (stock) and a 400ex (piped) raced a cupple times and the 400ex kept up with big bad 450. corse i smoked everything but one banshee. this guy got me by a legth. i know in hillshot drags a large percentage of winning comes from rider abillity cuz i should of lost to a cupple other shees but they dident ride the bikes to their full potential. forgot my video camera this trip. damnit.

I've Never Seen A Stock Banshee Beat A Stock 450, But I See Piped Banshees Walk Away From Them When Geared Right In The Sand. Actually I Take That Back I Did See A Stock Banshee Beat Some 450's, It Was This Little 80 Pound Kid, He Was Kicking Everyones Ass Up Until The End When He Ran Out Of Top End, I Think His Dad Had The Speed Limited On Him.

well.... we did the drag between a stock 02 banshee and a stock YFZ450... the 450 will get teh holeshot.... but the banshee comes back fast... very fast adn beasts the YFZ.... every time.... now this same YFZ in the dunes was killing 450r's..... in the dunes the 450s stand no chance... on pavement the banshees gonna win..... i;ve never had a problem with a stock but pipes shee.... i guess we'll see with you though.... i never have a problem eating 450s.... especially on an oval.....

A 450 has basically a non existant powerband as sold stock. Put the HRC on and it changes quite a bit. The YFZ is corked up a decent amount off the floor too, I thought ours was a turd at first as well. Took out the pea shooter and rejetted it and damn did it change. Stock for stock its close, with a HRC 450 vs a stock banshee, the 450 is going to walk all over it. Especially if its regeared. A banshee with pipes and maybe reeds will be close with a HRC 450, the banshee probably has some more top depending on pipes. But on dirt its pretty easy to get you ass handed to you by a fourstroke. I raced the old mans new R against the ole 88R this weekend in a field. I could beat him with a ported 250jug on it. Its not as fast as I could make a 250 but it runs pretty hard and is good for all terrain. Definately faster than a mildly modified banshee. I took him anywhere from 1.5 bikes to 3 bikes. Most of the ground I put on the 450 was in the mid rpm range right when shifting, thats where the 250 I have makes its best power. If I shifted off slightly he was right there. On hard packed dirt I have no doubt it would be closer.
