| What's up guys, today my neighbor walked up to me and was telling me that his TRX450 was lighter, had more hp, and was faster. I just sat stood there checked out his quad and was listening, then I asked him if he wanted to go riding this weekend, (in not so many words, to prove himself) he didnt agree or decline, but I think he doesnt really want to tango with a shee Now I'm no expert, but I think the high revving 2 stroke can take that 450 4 poke in a straight out dirt, sand or asphalt drag race, what do you guys think? is he right or will I walk that trx450? where are the she's strong and weak points? where should I NOT race him? thanks Xavier |

| by the way what is the stock HP and Wieght of the Shee & trx? |
| ||||
| atleast ge t t he airbox lid off the she and rejet. if hes got some mods on the450 trx be careful 450's can be quick especially in shitty traction conditions like coarse gravel ,loose dirt roads, wet grass etc.this is a race were terrain and rider ability will greatly influence the outcome,also race him on pavement wit h a very low tire pressure in the rears to shift the advantage toward a better win IMO

| Well i think we are both new riders, i had a quad when i was a kid, but that was years ago. And this thing has an unreal power band, it feels like a short stroke turbo motor, goes from no power to BAM power and it's gone! I'm kinda scared to race on pavement, the few times i ran it up my street (short block) i was in 5th gear running out of street to stop, but to prove a point, phuck it! I need to put that 4 poke in it's place, it's place being behind a 2 stroke! lol Xavier |

| Hard to admit for a die hard 2 stroke fan, but the new 450's are not to be taken lightly. At my local MX track they are almost impossible to compete with when they are piped and jetted. You have to spend a lot of money on an old 2 stroke to make them compete, especially with the Yamaha. I'm still gonna keep the old quadracer goin just for the opportunity to see peoples faces when I ride by.

| My Buddy Had A Piped Banshee And Absoutly Crushed A Trx450r And Yfz At The Dunes. The Trx Was Stock, But The Yfz Was Pipe And Ported. |

| stock vs stock, the 450 will probably beat you. piped and jetted, it will come down to the rider. with both of you being pretty new to quads, the 4 stroke will get you 9 out of 10 times probably. you'll find that the times you beat him, you've gotten a sweet holeshot. the 4 pokes are just easier to ride and accomodate rider errors much better. after pipes and new air filter, for less than $100, you can get your head milled and buy a new timing plate and pick up 3-5 more cheap horsepower which will give you just that more of an edge.
