i'm pretty sure thats what it figured out too.. i raised the exhaust 4.5mm... that comes really close to 200ex right???

thats my duner shee.... but i ride it more than just dunes.... it's my "so you think your fast" quad haha... it's really not anything extravagent.. still needs bigger carbs, lightened flywheel and tioming advance to really rip... and it pushes about 140pSI compression... so i run it on 93 octane pump fuel.....

Yeah without breaking out the calculator thats pretty close to 200, I just dont like em setup that high. Personal pref, I like to keep the numbers lower and try to be more efficient in other ways, unfortunately the stock banshee trans are only so efficient and when raising them a bunch you can get a lot better cut angles. But look at it this way, the quicker the exhaust opens the less amount of time the combustion of process is pushing the piston down without expelling gas. Basically at 80 from TDC combustion is done pushing the piston down, it gets into decreasing BMEP and increasing rpm. Where hp equals BMEP x rpm x cc, by upping your compression you going to get some of your BMEP back and probably do your engine some good as far as power. Thats just dipping into theory a little bit but if you like it then stick with it, the are multiple ways to get the job done when it comes to porting. That kind of explains why the cubs arent liking some of the extreme numbers that stock cylinders do for draging, efficiency.
