8 cup on a quad vs 10 cup.

I have a 87 quadzilla 500. When im dune riding im usually in third gear and I can go up anything I want from third gear but the bike wants to be at higher rpms and 2nd is just to low. Im thinking that if I upgrade to a larger tire that it would change the gearing in such a way that I would be able to ride at higher rpm's through the dunes. What do you guys think?

no i beleive it would be the other way around ,, smaller tires would let rev out a little quicker but besides that you shouldnt change your tires to gain differnt revs change your gearing change to a lower gearing
