Question Maxxis 4 snow vs AMS zippers

I know they look similar but I have heard people say AMS sucks. Does any one know if the AMS is close to the quality of the Maxxis 4 snow tires. I wanted to get the Maxxis but rocky mountain atv only sales the AMS zippers and the Maxxis website tells me to go to a dealer for the maxxis tire. I really dont like going to the dealer so they can screw my over on price. Also i was thinking about getting the real thin douglus rims so i can keep rear wheel weight down. Would the .125 be to weak to use as a drag tire?

no the .125 alum wheel is pretty much made for dragging. it would work just fine.

the prowedge 2 is a much better tire due to its softer compound , i know a few guys that i ride with swear by them. i have a set of the 4-snows and the tread is much stiffer then the pro wedge 2's, if your gonna get some get the pro wedge 2

zippers suck theyre too balloonish ,heavy and paddels are stubby .. 4snows are decent drga tire .. theyre just not as good as pro wedges ,now if you have a big power bike and are willing ot shell out the money the rare pro wedge 1 series are the baddest dirt drag tires you can get .
