you would need a tire to fit a 10" wheel i.e. 22x11-10 or 20x11-10 so on so forth. the 10x8.5 means you have a 10" wheel by 8.5" wide, the 20x11x10 means your tire is 20" tall, 11" wide, for a 10" wheel

so you can go wider (we have here a 2½ difference) as long as wheel and tire has the same diameter.e.i. 10 inch..it's o.k?...ok thanx dude! |

Okay, what quad is it? If it is an LT, I believe they came with that size rim and the stock size tire was 21-10-10. Yes the rear tires are wider than the rim. Most tires are either 10 or 11 inches wide. Diameter is usually 18, 20, or 22 for most sport quads. I have Z400 hubs on my LT250 and I am now running 20-11-9 tires on a more popular 4/110 rear wheel. (same rims as the Z400, 400EX,etc.) If you let us know what quad it is we could help you a lot more. I hope this helped.

I'm running 20 inch Kenda Knarly's. I don't think they make a any for 10 inch rims though. I have some friends that have the Kenda Klaws and they say that the Klaws are good. Plus they do come in 20-11-10. You may want to check out Maxxis Razr2's, they come in 20-11-10. What I would suggest is finding some Z400 hubs on ebay and getting some 4/110 rims from either a z400 or 400ex. Those rims (9"x8"wide) are a more popular size and there are a lot more options for tires with that size. I know that this last option requires more money, but just keep looking on ebay for these parts you need and maybe by the time you need tires next time you could have it ready to put some 9 inch wheels and tires on the LT. Just a suggestion.

http://www.everything2stroke.com/Rev...&cat=36&page=1 they hook up awsome in slick mud, their farly lite weight to be a "mud tire", the ride pretty good, plus you can turn them around and do OK in the sand

I didn't like the Sur-Traks on my LT. They broke free too easy in the middle of a hillclimb. I don't think they hooked up good enough. The tread is like bars and they like to spin and float on top of the ground. Where do you ride? What is the ground like? Loose or hard? Hills or flat? Some mud or a lot of mud? I will say the Sur-Traks are a good mud tire, but so are the All-Traks and the All-Traks hook up on non-muddy surfaces good.
