A new stock shock for 450 or a Works shock for 450? I think that the stock shock is pretty good. Its very plush but the rebound was always a little fast in a whoops section.

aftermarket shocks are always worth the money. but i don't think it should cost 200 bucks to rebuild the rear shock. what's wrong with it specifically?

okay so.

Bladder: 14.29 + S&H
Seals: $20 + S&H
Oil: $30 + S&H

then all the other stuff a shock builder should have like Nitrogen, Spring compressor, and cleaning tools.

if you have the patience, and can learn quick and have some tools you can rebuild the shock.

$200 is ussually what a rebuild and revalve costs. just changing shims adds $100!

I think this is something I can handle myself. Where would a guy be able to buy the tools needed and replacement parts if needed ?? Primarily for Showa and Kayaba shocks.
