| better then stock but most guys will tell you they suck. Guess it all depends on what your looking to spend. You might be better off to find a good sued set of elkas or somethign but again its all in what you want to spend. And what type of riding you do

| hey....im back...sory...iv been busy......... ok....iv done a few before...its super easy.....are you mechanical? change your own oil? service quad yourself?....... if you do....then i dont think you will have much trouble with this one! if they are infact the stock shocks, its easy.... aftermarkets are usualy a little diff....... you must find a way to compress the spring.... the top washer on the end of the shock opposite the resevoire is tapered and c shaped.... (hard to understand? just look at it...pull it off, and hold it in your hand)...... once the spring is comrpessed(roughly 1/2-1 inch) you simply pull the washer down, then off. the spring should have a second washer underneath the top one, but the ID of this washer, along with the spring, are both big enough to slide over the end of the shock...no, you will not have to have them refilled, or hurt the seals. if anything, when you release the stress on the shaft, by removing the spring, the unit will become relaxed..... i was not instructed or shown how to do this. i simply pulled off my shock and looked at it...the rest is self explanitory. it should be easy to figure out if this didnt help you..... i will be back in a few days if you need more instruction. this is a nice in-expensive way, to make your shocks look brand new.... you should consider it......well your shoks are apart they will be very easy to clean and pollish as well as paint....... |
