Works build and construction is 2nd rate compared to elka or ohlins. After a little use works leaks oil, squeaks, ect.

Lt guy you should have had your ohlins revalved/sprung for your application. Ohlins has far superior machining tolerances and build quality. All the top baja teams run ohlins.

I decided to go ahead and change my order to a set of Resi shocks. Cost me a little extra but this way I'm not going to always be wondering how much better they could have been.

#1 choice...PEP ZPS by far, i will never use another shock(apart from fox exol xs but those arent made for any 2 strokes)
#2....Stadium(i think they make a few shocks for Rs)
#3....Elka
#4...Axis
#5...TCS
#6...Ohlin
#7...works

IMO works really arent worth it, there a bit better tahn stock at first, but they go shot so quickly, and even after you revalve them again there still just mediocre

I would just buy the bottom of the line Elkas, there gunna be much nicer than any non rezzy works, and end up costing about the same, but if one day you really feel the need for a set of amazing shocks, order up some PEP ZPSs

and you have to remember suspension mods are the most important mods, you can have 800hp, but its not gunna do you much good if you cant land a jump, or make a turn in a trail

I ended up going ahead and getting the Works with Resis, they cost me the same as Elkas without resis. I've had just as many people tell me they love as people that don't like them so I guess I'll be able to form my own opinion soon enough. They do offer a 30 day ride guarantee so I guess If they suck I can always send them back.

You know for questions like these it would be nice if there was a little spot that says where everyone works, and their friends? My "crappy"works shocks are a few years old.......but when I put the originals that have been sitting back on again.......still night and day! So this doesn't seem like a biased opinion.....I don't work for or know anybody in the suspension market. Wouldn't doubt that I'd be saying the exact same thing if my Shee came with some PEP's or Elka's. Like we are all professional atv'rs or something? Lol A Dumbass riding with all the best stuff is still a...........Who cares how much better something is if most of us don't even have what it takes to get the full potential out of what were buying. So go get your exspensive parts and crash'em up before you reach that "full potential" Meanwhile helping the business owners reach theirs by letting us pump each other up with there marketing ploys!!!! Kudo's

not to be a dick here but fastR have you personally ridden on all those shocks you just listed? or are you just listing them from most expensive to cheapest and saying the ones you own are the best ever?

Got my shocks in today. They deffinately pass the eyeball inspection as they look great and appear to be good quality. Of course the main test will be what happens after I mount them and go for a ride which will hopefully be this weekend.

I have not ridden it since October so I'm tempted to ride for a few minutes with my stock shocks before putting the Works on so I'll really be able to tell how much difference they make.
