| Ok, I've narrowed my decision down to works vs. elka on my front shocks. I'm not planning to buy shocks with remote resivoirs and I'm keeping the stock A-Arms. Any opinions from those that have either or have ridden with both? I ride dunes and plan to ride an occasional XC race. Last edited by vt700guy; 02-24-2008 at 08:37 PM. |

| it all depends on how much money you got/want to spend. I have works triple rates on the front of my 250r and they work awesome for the trails and give it a very plush ride over the rough stuff

| Works shocks are a great upgrade over stock but, if you are planning on any real racing I would go elka

| I think I'll go with the Works. It's not that I don't have the money to buy the Elkas but I also don't have an endless supply so that frees up a little more cash for some of the other things I'd like to get. I guess if I'm not satisfied with them I can always put em on ebay. |

| I've got Works dual rate w/ ressies and I've never tried Elka's. However over stock......my Works shocks are simply night and day in comparison!!!!!! If someone is paying you to ride, then slap on some Elka's.....If your like the majority of the world and have to "work" Than Works works for the working!!!!! I think it's more "hype" than anything...I remember when White Bros. was concidered to be the best and now............marketing and hype I say!!!!! The majority isn't always the smarter group......there's just more of them convincing each other they're right! Due to....you guessed it, marketing and hype!

| I just ordered some Works with black springs. Didn't get the resis but I'm still anticipating a night and day change over stock. |

| Ohlins is better than both of them. |

| ive never ridden the elkas and dont doubt that they are better, but for as much bashing as some people do on the works i gota say its bullshit, when i went from a stock front end to +2 arms with the works triple rate at steelers with the remote res i couldnt even compare the 2 thats how big of a difference it really is, im sure the elkas are even better, but for banging around the trails, some jumps, whoops, and doin hills and shit the works work awesome, you wont be disapointed especially for what they cost |

| ohlins better than elka and works? since when? I used to have ohlins and works for my quadracer and trust me, I personaly liked the plush ride of the works.
