Rear Shock Bottom

I bought a LT250R yesterday (1988)
It has a White Bros rear shock, and its bottomed out, the seller told me that it had been emptied by mistake. How can I verify this or fix it?

well you can check to see if all the nitrogen was let out, but you will need to find a place to recharge it for you. at the bottom of the resivoir there should be a valve like a tire valve stem. push it in and if it makes a swish noise then it was filled and you just let all the pressure out. if you don't hear anything its out of nitrogen and needs to be recharge.

theres no way to check the oil level till the shock is totally dissasembled. or the shock is covered in oil that would tell you theres a leak.

Thanks sblt500r, just went to check and it did let out a little air and then died.
Probably empty right?

well its empty now! lol a dealer should be able to do it. any dirt bike dealer. if not a welding shop can.
