| I was wanting to know what front and back shocks (off another stock quad) will bolt right on a 1991 LT250R? |

| I would post the measurement of your shocks. From bolt center to bolt center off the quad of course. That will give you and everyone else a good start and let you know if a shock is longer and will cause serious binding problems. I' m not familiar with the suzuki's, but I believe the 450r is longer than the 250r. Also the 400ex is longer and doesn't "feel" right on the 250r. I asked around about the 400ex shocks to put on my R and was told this, but as always it 's up to you.

| I'm quite curious about the shock length as well. I replaced my stock front shocks ('87 LT250r) with an Ohlins set. I didn't measure shocks off the bike but they're 15" on the bike. Now my suspension is "gaga". I believe the Ohlins weren't setup for the LT (probably too long & creating excessive bump-steer). I'm looking to have Ohlins rebuilt and/or buy new a-arms for the longer shocks. ANY more feedback on this issue would be GREAT. |

| Honda 400 and 450 shocks bolt right up but its best if you use +2 arms because they are taller shocks... Do a search...there is a thread around here somewhere with pics...

| ill tell you what doesnt work! LTZ 400 shocks! it totally slipped my mind to get measurement before i bought them (ebay) but the price was cheap! anyways they are three inches to long! i read that the LTZ's were a bolt on, but its not true! maybe if i put +2 a'arms? thats my .02 |

| Stock lt shocks are around 13 inches I would say if you are going to go with a longer shock either go with a +2/+3 a-arm or mod the top shock mount to the top of the frame instead of on the side or even a combination of the 2
