| loosen the spring preload and you should be able to take the clip off on one side of the shock. but the front shocks you'll need a shock dissasembly tool. it compresses the spring so you can remove the clip. |

| where can i get a tool to do that?

| dennis kirk carries them, cost between $30 and $40. but it is possible to remove them with out it, you just need some upper body strength and determination. if you put one end in a vise and pull down on the spring you should be able to get it off. BUT some shock springs are harder than others and you may not be able to get it off with out the compressor. why do you need to remove them? |

| look at my pic, im a 17 yr old guy not a 17 yr old faery or girl no offense seriously though hehe, im just not a pink person i wanna clean em up, you should see my rear spring, i might have to replace that 1, its startin to rust, looks like a corroded battery terminal.

| the back spring should be easier to remove than the front ones. try taking them off yourself, i never like spending money on something i might use once. get one of your buddies to help ya. you pull back on the spring and he can try and get the clip off. make sure to back off the preload first, makes it easier. |

| do you think if i back the preload off and jack up the front end way off the ground and let the a arms dangle think theyll loosen up enough....nvm cuz then if they did it would jsut in mid air to have the clip fall out lol..
