Default 86-87 trx250r atv shocks

will the newer 450r shocks fit 86-87 trx250r's without any mod's-would like to replace my stock shocks but don't want to invest in any other parts a-arm's etc... does anyone rebuild the the stock shock's?

I know they will fit because i've seen it before. I just dont know if you need to make any changes to make them fit.

I wouldnt do it. The ratio if off and it will basically ride like a rock and sit completely extended. There is no sag at all and they resulting ride would be horrible, you would be better off looking for used 400EX aftermarket shocks.
