| u can start making ur reservation now.. tell them u are with the everything2stroke party.. or your with CHRIS MERRY (thats me) As some of you may know E2S is planning a big trip to SILVER LAKE SAND DUNES on May 15th-18th.. If anyone is interested in going.. Feel free to PM me for details. I’ll post here any needed information you may need to get to the dunes.. Where we’ll be staying, prices, and destination address for anyone wanting to mapquest the directions.. We will be staying at Val Du Lakes campground.. It’s about 5 miles from the dunes.. The showers are HOT and the management is nice. every time we were there we had no problem partying until early morning… there will be beer.. Actually lots of beer, beerpong tables, jager bombs, bench racing, and BSing all evening.. Also there will be e2s stickers and t shirts for sale in my trailer… we are going to sell raffle tickets for some prizes. Any and all proceeds from these raffles will go toward expanding E2S products for the members (shirts, stickers, and hopefully ball caps) and improving the site… donations up for raffle from e2s include shirts, stickers, and one year premium subscriptions. There will also be a beer pong tournament if enough people want to get in on it.. There will be probably 2 pong tables.. This is a great chance to meet other people from the site including a good portion of the people that keep this site running day to day…. Ok now for the specifics I FIXED THE MVP STICKER LINK IT WORKS NOW.. CAMPING 1533 North Wilson Rd. PO Box 189 Mears, Michigan 49436 Phone: 231.873.5451 Fax: 231.873.1793 Email: inquire@valdulakes.net WEBSITE HTTP://WWW.VALDULAKES.NET (see money stuff section below for prices) I'll let everyone know when i have the deal set up with the campground **make Sure To Let Them Know It Is For The Everything2stroke Party.** __________________ DUNE NECESSITIES All quads/bikes/or trucks going into the dunes need an ORV sticker A daily pass or annual state park sticker Your truck need a daily pass or annual pass as well.. If you have a 4x4 truck and want to take it in the dunes… it will need the ORV sticker as well Any vehicle entering the dunes needs a flag Quads/bikes/trikes need a spark arrestor (available at the dunes) All riders must have helmet and goggles (see money stuff section below for prices) THE MONEY STUFF For the camping there is a $20 deposit per site that is returned when you leave as long as you pick up your garbage and don’t trash the site Camping is $15 per night per person.. ORV stickers are $16.25 and are available either online or at the park.. Yearly passes (also called MVP’s) are $29 for anyone who is not an MI resident You don’t need an MVP you can just buy daily passes for $8 a day… 4 days is more than an online MVP you do the math.. (see online sticker purchase section) Flags are available at numerous places around silver lake they are $20-$22 (I’ll offer my same deal as last year. At the end of the weekend if you don’t want your flag anymore I’ll buy it for $15) Spark arrestors are available at the dunes. They are cobra sparkie brand and range in size from 2”-3” round (maybe bigger even) and oval for FMF style silencers.. Sparkies are $72 each Gas is available right at the park gate.. Anything from 92 octane pump gas to alky and everything in between. There I also a parts store there that carries a pretty good array of parts Online sticker purchase Ok I searched around and found places to buy your ORV and MVP stickers ahead of time and they are mailed to your house within 7 days.. For some reason they have to be purchased form 2 different sites but.. Here we go I’ll walk you through both sites and how to get where you need to be to get what you are looking for… MVP STICKERS (remember you need an MVP on any vehicle in the dunes or parking lot) (not including trailers) Here the link http://apps.michigan.gov/michiganest...x?categoryId=5 You’ll notice that it brings you to a screen with a orange and blueish sticker. If you don’t live in Michigan you need the blueish nonresident sticker (MI residents buy orange of course) Click the blueish sticker Then click “add to shopping cart” Then add how many you need in the quantity section.. Click checkout and fill out the needed information.. ORV STICKER Here is the link https://www.mdnr-elicense.com/welcome.asp Click “MYSELF” dot Then click “I CERTIFY” button On the next page Answer the 3 questions then go to the bottom of the page and click “OBTAIN MDNR ID” A pop up box will appear click “OK” Ok now you want the 2nd selection “ORV preprinted” click “BUY NOW” Put in the quantity and click “CHECKOUT” (you only need these stickers for anything that will enter the dunes.. Any thing staying in the parking lot doesn’t need an ORV sticker) Then fill out the necessary information and your good.. don’t bother with the printer test.. Your stickers will be mailed to you.. I think I covered everything you need to know.. But.. If there is something you need to know feel free to PM me.. Last edited by 370banshee; 04-07-2008 at 10:39 PM. |
