| imo ski doo has the best sled, there chassis is second to none, the rev was the first to have the rider in the center (and dirt bike type ergonomics) and with there new chassis they have somehow made the sled overall lower but still have the same ground clearance as previous models plus ther motors are killer and have the highest EPA ratings truefully id get a skidoo but my dad was a diehard polaris fan when he got me my sled.... even though now he has a rev 500 short stroke i do got to say the older polaris's are nice, especially the old indys, those fuji motors are unstopable and they make decent power, actually if your looking for a sled id recomend my model, it was made by polaris as there "hot dog" sled for that year (105hp), they took a liberty 600 motor and just put a 500 sleeve in the jugs, so basically it has the same porting specs as the 600 but only a little smaller in displacement, plus with the powervalves it really rips (i have trouble getting traction sometimes) u dont need anything bigger than a 600 nowadays, they make the same HP and around the same torque as the 800s/900s, but the 800s/900s burns more gas, would u rather be at the pump or ridden?

because yes the older triples are trouble (not enough oil getting to 1 cylinder) but there twins... ie the fuji 488s are unstopable, i have a buddy that has one with 21000 miles with only a piston rebuild at 10000 miles and yes i did say 21000 miles... crazy i kno its all about how u take care of em ![]()

| I've owned Artic cats, yamahas, & polaris sleds. currently polaris 700xc. Just stay away from tripples. I'm buying a diff sled this spring and it will ethier be a fire cat, or polaris with edge suspension. I'm fairly stuck to polaris but i see nothing wrong with the fire cats. Stick with 2001 or newer for good suspension and a lot more reliability. My 98 Polaris xc700 has been very reliable and is fast as hell but the xtra 10 suspension is way out daited and shit I'm getting old and need a soft ride.
