| Ive had three of the polaris triples. Two ultras and a storm. The storm bottom end is damn near industructalble. It had a PSI 1100 top end on it, pulling around 220 hp. Never a problem. The ultras, I had some problems with them. Went through a couple water pumps, and broke a cyl.. Dont get me wrong it a great motor and can produce plenty of hp. Just have to maintain them. Also a tripple is way harder to get the clutching dialed in over a twin. |

| thanks for the info. why is a triple harder to clutch? is it the lack of low end torque? I realize that a crank failure on a triple is very expensive to repair. thanks for the heads up on the ultras. I really like the top-end pull of a triple, plus the sound is awesome.

| The tripples power curve is so small compared to a twin. With a twin you can be alittle off on clutching and hardly notice it. But with a triplle you have to be on or your loosing alot. It might be easier for you flat landers, im in the mountain where it is critical if you want something that runs really good. Also I never had a crank break in any of the tripples. Ive heard of more crank problems on twins then tripples. |
