Default twisted forks

i fell on the last ride i went out on last year on my dirt bike. the front forks are twisted a little bit, so the handlebars arent quite straight when the tire is. i read somewhere something about loosening the bottom triple clamp and bounce up and down on it and it will straighten it out. anybody have any info on how to get them untwisted ?

no no . they arent bent. just twisted. like where the forks go into the bottom part of the triple clamps, and then you tighten up the bottom of the triple clamps around the forks to connect them to the bars

not sure if that works if not heres the address

http://images.google.com/images?q=tb...T2ClampSet.jpg

they are twisted like inside the bottom part of the triple clamp

Seems like all you would have to do is loosen the triple tree, straiten em back out, and tighten it back up. Must of been a hard spill to twist em.

They really don't twist all that hard. I usually either kick the front tire or find a tree and smack it until its straight. Or you can take the time loosen everything and tighten it back up. Just make sure the fork height stays equal.
