Question Busted bolt head

Hey guys, I need to hear your opinions on what is the best tools to remove broken bolts. My LT250R kick starter's bolt broke off and now will fall off if I don't secure it. Any suggestions???? Maybe you have come across the best drill bits to remove or is it easier to just repla ce the whole assembly!!!

go to an auto parts store and buy a left handed drill bit. Yes I'm serious. =) the bit goes in while spinning to the left instead of the right, so as the bit goes in, it should unscrew the bolt

You can also tried something called an easy out. Ask napa about them. You drill into the broken bolt enough for the easy out to grab then turn the easy out with a wrench.

All those are good ideas but if you have it all apart, you could just take it to a machine shop. They will be able to put it on a milling machine and clamp it to the table where the drill bit can be held in a real ridged vertical alignment. It will make it much easier to drill in the exact center of the broken bolt. If I was doing it I woud clamp it to the table make it as perpendicular as is reasonable to the drill. Then use a small endmill to flatten the top of the broken bolt, Then center drill the bolt. Then drill a small hole into the center. Then insert the easy out chucked into the drill bit on the milling machine and by hand(or maybe a wrench) see if I could get it to back out. If not then, I would try a left hand drill. If not then, I would drill the whole bolt out and rethread the hole. All of this is made easier by having it clamped onto a milling machine table. Probably cost $20 to $25
