A-arm swap 85-92?

I am looking at buying a pair of works triples rates the problem is they are for an 87-92. I was thinking of getting a set of later a-arms so the shocks will xork. Anyone know if they will swap out? I tied looking for the info but had no luck.

87-92 a arms will not fit on the 85-86. if you modify the a arm mounts on the frame they will fit. but thats not why you can't use the 87-92 front shocks. the upper shock mount is higher on the 87-92 frame to allow for the longer shocks. so the upper mount on the 85-86 will also have to be modified to fit the 87-92 front shocks.
