| I need help. I just picked up an 85 LT250R. It has been sitting for a few years. I took the carb out sprayed some carb cleaner inside, blew out all the hoses with a air nozzle. When I put it back on I turned the choke on and it fired right up. Oncew the choke is shut off the bike gradually picks up rpms till it red lines. Now every time I start it the same thing happens. Also, I feel like I am getting to much gas. The gasket for my exhaust pipe is blown and it look like gas comming out sometime when I can't start it. Is it flooding and why. I took the bowl of the carb and floats seem to be moving OK also held up valve and it shut the fuel off to the bowl. I think the carb may be aftermarket cause it doesn't match the one i n the repoair manual. It is a mikuni but it has a pull choke not a lever like the stock one is supose to have. |
