Default LT250R Idling Problem

I need help. I just picked up an 85 LT250R. It has been sitting for a few years. I took the carb out sprayed some carb cleaner inside, blew out all the hoses with a air nozzle. When I put it back on I turned the choke on and it fired right up. Oncew the choke is shut off the bike gradually picks up rpms till it red lines.

Now every time I start it the same thing happens. Also, I feel like I am getting to much gas. The gasket for my exhaust pipe is blown and it look like gas comming out sometime when I can't start it. Is it flooding and why.

I took the bowl of the carb and floats seem to be moving OK also held up valve and it shut the fuel off to the bowl. I think the carb may be aftermarket cause it doesn't match the one i n the repoair manual. It is a mikuni but it has a pull choke not a lever like the stock one is supose to have.

well the reason it starts gaining rpm's is from a lean condition which can be one of alot of things, either your pilot jet is too small or you have an air leak somewhere, or something in the carb isnt set right
