i wouldn't recomend a 38 or 39 mm carb on an unported 85-86 lt. the carb bore will be bigger than the opening in the cylinder! a keihin 36mm should work good on a stock ported cylinder

sometimes the porter will engrave there name on the outside of the cylinder.

if not, look in the intake and it will look smoother than stock and will have sharper edges. it will also look larger, inside the intake on the 85-86 lt, but you won't be able to tell if this is your first 2stroke.

Take some pics of the cylinder ports. Maybe we will be able to tell from there. If you have some porting done, The 38 or 39 mm. carb will definitely wake that motor up big time !

I have a the full dune port job, carbon reeds, fmf fatty, milled head, polished intake and a keihin pwk 39mm carb and that carb really ripped that engine right open (in a good way) I never thought i could be scared by a 250 HA HA HA, .......stock unported with pipe and filter i would use a 34 or 36mm, port work with pipe and reeds I would use a 38mm or a 39mm but goddamnit hold on...
