carb hook up??????????

I have my motor in and im almost done putting her back together but i have a problem with the way the reed and air box mount to the carb. I have a vforce3 reed ccage and a stock air box now when i look at it the reed cage goes and an angle and the extension tube goes just about straight. The air box is from an 87 ant the motor is a 92. what do i need to do to make this work?

k&n clamp on lol or fabricate your own airbox...

well i will not use a clamp on and i would like to know if anyo ne has had this same problem and what did you do to fix it?

where did you get vforce 3's for your lt?

sure its not a 500 intake bot? those are angled. and are used to fit a bigger carb on the 250

the boot on a 87 air box is slightly different than the 88-92

im not sure if the cage is for a 500 but it was running a 38mm kiehin and now im running a stock 34mm but the cage seems to angle out abvout a 45 degree angle. should i just look into getting a new reed cage?
